CyrusOne AVP - Sales in United States
The purpose of this position is to provide leadership, strategic input and creativity in the execution of the CyrusOne revenue model. This position will be responsible for the sales efforts and results for the assigned geography.
Sales – Conduct sales calls and close complex, technical solution sales. Work with the customer to identify underlying causes of customer’s business problems and recommend the appropriate solutions
Revenue – Assure that monthly, quarterly and yearly revenue quotas are achieved
Profit – Assure that each deal is within the profit goals established by company
Strategic – Provide the management team with a strategic point of view from the sales and customer prospective. This position is responsible for making sure the management team is aware of sales and customer feedback with regard to our products, our strategic position, our successes and failures
Management & Training of Sales Force – Provide leadership, management and training for sales executive professionals
Metrics Management- Assure that each BDM is obtaining the metrics outlined by company including # tours, # meetings, # of networking events, quota achievement
Accurate Forecasting – Maintain and review prospect pipeline and forecast. Interface with senior management to accurately budget expenses and forecast future revenue trending and actual sales activity
Direct management of sales professionals
Development of sales presentations
Proven successful sales record in “solution-based” sales
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to make presentations in formal and informal settings
Ability to motivate sales team members to perform at expected levels
Read & comprehend technical specifications and/or work prints
Must be able to listen & comprehend oral information
Ability to direct and manage work groups
Must be able to lead and moderate meetings, conferences, etc.
Ability to develop and formulate short-, mid-, and long-range plans/decisions
Ability to develop sales/marketing promotional plans
Ability to develop or create new ideas, procedures, training, etc.
Strong knowledge of the sales cycle
Ability to effectively use sales automation tools, applications software and equipment to manage the sales/service process
Ability to collect and analyze data and information
Excellent organizational skills
Project management skills
Strong knowledge of web hosting, web design, IT outsourcing and collocation
Working knowledge of operating systems and software applications
Experience/Skills: 5+ years senior-level sales management experience in a high tech, data center or IT consulting environment. 5+ years technical sales experience
Education: Four years of college resulting in a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is required. A Master’s Degree is preferred. Equivalent job-related experience may be substituted for degree.
