CyrusOne Accounting Coordinator in Dallas, Texas

The purpose of this role is to ensure the accounting department operates smoothly and to organize communications between the different parts of the accounting department, other departments, and external parties. Responsibilities may include multi-faceted general office support, bookkeeping, planning and scheduling, organizing and maintaining records, preparing memos, financial reports and presentations. In all tasks, the Accounting Coordinator is to keep the accounting team within all deadlines and in accordance with company, federal and international, financial regulations.

Essential Functions :

  • Act as a point of contact (POC) between internal departments and accounting, serving as a liaison between accounting and external parties, including vendors, customers and others to resolve administrative or operational problems;

  • Schedule meetings, department events or other similar activities between members of the accounting department, with other departments, and/or with external parties;

  • Travel planning and coordination, as well as managing related expense books;

  • Coordinate internal or external guest visitations (e.g. building access, POC, onsite facilitator such as greeter) and coordinate space to host guests/new employees;

  • Collaborate with members of the accounting department to prepare and distribute memos, reporting packets, presentation materials. Scan, print, and bind financial reports in an organized and professional manner;

  • Coordinate signatures for accounting related documents, especially at quarter/year end or for special projects;

  • Monitor, track and follow-up as needed on timelines or checklists related to monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc assignments or special projects. Stay up to date on company accounting and financial deadlines and policies;

  • Manage documents and files, e.g. copying, filing, etc;

  • Perform special assignments as required by management;

  • Answering phones and assisting in various daily operations as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

Experience/Skills

  • Must have excellent customer service skills, interpersonal skills, conducting business with professionalism, upbeat, proactive and positive attitude. Demonstrate discretion in keeping things confidential.

  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate, persuade and influence positively the outcome of an assignment or responsibility. Must possess excellent professional oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to strategically prioritize the multiple tasks within the job.

  • Have excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills. Ability to execute dependable business acumen and to substantially corroborate all decisions.

  • Ability to demonstrate persistent work ethic and consistent commitment to operational excellence, reliability, and high productivity. Detail oriented. Must be able to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining a high-level of accuracy.

  • Must possess a high-level understanding of accounting terminology and procedures.

  • Must have extensive knowledge of MS Office products, particularly word, excel, PowerPoint, Visio. Working knowledge of DocuSign or Adobe.

  • Willingness to embrace new processes and learn new things.

  • Teamwork/collaboration and time management skills a must.

  • At least 1-5 years of administrative support experience is needed for this position.

  • Previous experience in Real Estate industry and Yardi systems is preferred.

Education

  • High school degree required

  • Associate degree in accounting preferred

  • The flexibility to work extended hours, especially during month, quarter, and year ends.

  • Ability to operate a range of office equipment, such as copiers and computers.

  • Employee may frequently be required to reach with hands and arms, lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
